De Maro is not your average artisan baker. De Maro offers a high quality range of traditional artisan bakery products to retail, hospitality and wholesale industries. We also provide you with unique customer support, for instance by offering training sessions and product demonstrations. We also actively work on product development.

We are proud to have been awarded the prestigious BRC A+ accreditation and are SKAL certified for reliable organic products. Should you decide to work with us, then you can be assured of quality products and a reliable business partner.

History

The history of our company dates back to 1937 when Marinus Roodklif opened a confectioner’s shop in Tilburg, under the name 'De Maro'. In 1967, his son Gerard took over the business. Under his leadership, the ‘white egg sponge cakes’ from De Maro became a household name throughout the Tilburg region.

At present De Maro is one of the largest confectionaries in the Netherlands, daily shipping thousands of egg sponge cakes and other confectionary products to retailers and hospitality and wholesale industries throughout Europe.

Quality and food safety are important principles of our company. Thanks to our modern production facilities and continuous innovation we can easily meet modern standards regarding food production, safety and hygiene. 

We are therefore proud that our efforts have been rewarded and that we have been awarded the prestigious BRC A+ accreditation. De Maro is also UTZ certified and SKAL certified for organic products.

Our team

 

In 1995 Bart Snijders – in essence De Maro's first true confectionery specialist – entered the service of the company. He is now the owner and leads an enthusiastic team of over 20 people, including administrative employees, bakers, people working at the packaging lines and drivers.

De Maro is not just any confectionary. The outstanding service and support we provide to our customers are unique in the business. 

Needless to say, it all starts with offering high quality products. But we find it just as important that our clients feel good about our products and know how to prepare them well. That is why we put a lot of effort into providing training sessions, product presentations and demonstrations. 

We can provide these at our customers' locations or at our own training facilities in Berkel Enschot, the Netherlands.
